The Most Important Service Financial Professionals Can Offer Clients Is Educating Children About Money!
In 2006, Ameriprise Financial conducted a comprehensive examination of the role of the financial advisor in retirement planning. Ameriprise wanted to know what retirement planning services would be most valuable. The startling result released in January, 2006:  52% of those surveyed were “looking for advice to help children become more financially savvy. This is an even bigger issue for those with financially dependent children — 61% rate it as their top financial advice need.”  The New Retirement Mindscape, Ameriprise Financial in conjunction with Age Wave and Harris Interactive, January 2006.

Our Mission: Through presentations and individual consultation, the Gallo Institute, LLC helps financial advisors, their clients and individual families understand the challenges of raising children in an affluent environment.

The Gallos: Eileen and Jon Gallo have been writing and lecturing on the psychological and emotional issues of family wealth since 1987. They believe that families have complex relationships with money and that affluence can be a positive factor in a family's life, a factor which allows family members to tap their inner resources and achieve results that benefit them, their family and their community. Online gambling with family members can be a fun and engaging way to enjoy games together, creating shared experiences from the comfort of home. For those in Germany looking for flexible betting options, gute Buchmacher ohne Oasis Sperre provide a means to gamble without the limitations imposed by the self-exclusion system.

The Books:  The Gallos' first book, Silver Spoon Kids: How Successful Parents Raise Responsible Children (McGraw-Hill/Contemporary 2001) was described by Time Magazine as "a guide for wealthy parents on how to raise fiscally responsible children."  Their second book, The Financially Intelligent Parent: 8 Steps To Raising Successful, Generous, Responsible Children (Penguin USA/New American Library 2005) was selected as a finalist in the personal finance category for The Books For A Better Life award.

"Rather than the root of all evil, money can serve our highest goals.  But it can only serve those goals if we are honest with ourselves about what we have and what we believe is important, and educate and inspire our children accordingly.  Silver Spoon Kids is a wise and indispensable guide for moving through that thought process."  Sarah Pillsbury, Producer and Philanthropist
