The Gallo Institute, LLC was established by a financially oriented psychotherapist and a psychologically educated estate planner.  Eileen Gallo, Ph.D. is a psychotherapist specializing in issues of family wealth.  Jon Gallo is a nationally known estate planning attorney.

We have been writing and lecturing on the psychological and emotional issues of family wealth since 1987.  We believe that families have complex relationships with money.   We also believe that affluence can be a positive factor in a family's life, a factor which allows family members to tap their inner resources and achieve results that benefit them, their family and their community.

We offer seminars and consultation services for individuals, families and financial advisors who wish to examine the challenges of raising children in an affluent environment, as well as the psychological and emotional issues of estate planning.

Our first book, Silver Spoon Kids: How Successful Parents Raise Responsible Children (McGraw-Hill/Contemporary 2001) was described by Time Magazine as "a guide for wealthy parents on how to raise fiscally responsible children."  Our second book, The Financially Intelligent Parent: 8 Steps To Raising Successful, Generous, Responsible Children (Penguin USA/New American Library 2005) was selected as a finalist in the personal finance category for The Books For A Better Life award.

Our presentations have been sponsored by organizations including Merrill Lynch, New York University, Goldman Sachs, The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, U.S. Trust, Bessemer Trust, Northern Trust, Sagemark Consulting, Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance, National Life of Vermont, Moore Stephens North American, Inc., Dain Rauscher Investment Services, the American Cancer Society. Wells Fargo Private Services, the University of Miami Estate Planning Institute, the UCLA Estate Planning Institute, the Notre Dame Estate Planning Institute, the California Community Foundation, the Atlanta Community Foundation and the National Council on Planned Giving.
